Dear PCMA Members,

I would like to thank the PCMA board members for choosing me as the 2021 Don Lawrence Memorial Scholarship recipient. I am honored to be accepting this award and beyond grateful for the generosity. I would also like to thank everyone from PCMA for inviting me to the New England Annual Chapter meeting at the Omni Seaport Hotel. It was great to be able to network with other members of PCMA.

I am a senior at Endicott College and this scholarship will be going directly toward tuition for my final semester of college. My family and I are extremely appreciative of this award and how helpful it has been in allowing me to pay for school.
I have been a member of PCMA since my sophomore year of college. I have loved being a part of all the wonderful opportunities PCMA has to offer. I participated in the PCMA Mentorship Program last year, which was extremely useful to me as I was starting to think about a career after graduation.

At Endicott College, I am in the Hospitality Management program within the School of Business. I recently completed my semester-long internship with MFS Investment Management, and this semester I will be completing my senior thesis before graduating in May. For my senior thesis I am completing a study on sport tourism motivations.

I am fortunate to serve in the role as Vice President for Endicott’s Event Management Organization, giving me the opportunity to plan monthly events for hospitality students. In preparation for graduation in May, I will also be spending a lot of time on my job search. My goal is to become a corporate meeting and events coordinator for a company in New England.

Being a member of PCMA has given me some amazing opportunities and has shown me that the hospitality industry is full of incredible people. I am thrilled to be accepting this scholarship from an organization that is so passionate about investing in future industry leaders. Thank you again for this generous award!
